This is an administrative position that covers Crown Point Historic Site in Crown Point. In season (4 days a week), duties include:
Reception desk, greeting visitors and assisting in museum. Managing opening, closing and operating procedures; including operating the cash register, credit card machine, and having knowledge about general site history. Assists in answering the telephone, directing calls appropriately, or generally assisting callers and following up. Entering historic site revenue and attendance data and generating reports as needed by regional administrators. Conduct and assist with regular safe counts and cashier counts for monthly audits. Reporting any discrepancies to Historic Site Manager. Learning statewide and agency-wide financial accounting systems (SFS and BETS). Processing multiple credit card reconciliations, timely entry of data into each system, and submitting documentation paperwork on tight deadlines. Assist with payroll duties by auditing timesheets and LATS and HRIS for accuracy of reported time, ensuring timesheets are signed by the appropriate supervisor. Creating & maintaining spreadsheets for tracking donations and expenditures. Making bank deposits in a timely fashion. Managing inventory and reordering of merchandise. Managing pavilion reservations, adding reports to shared calendar and handling special requests from guests. Managing communications and scheduling group reservations and visits. Maintaining digital and paper copy files and assisting site manager with filing duties. Taking and satisfactorily completing all mandatory agency training courses. Assistance with light weekend grounds and housekeeping in order to maintain cleanliness of site and museum. Off season (1-2 days a week):
Assists with special events and public programming. Assists in answering the telephone, directing calls appropriately, or generally assisting callers and following up. Entering attendance data and generating reports for site administrators. Overseeing and completing monthly audits and reviewing with Site Manager. Managing communications and scheduling group visits or special appointments in the off season. Assisting with audits and inventory of site and office equipment; updating database and communicating with regional coordinator.

Salary Range:
From $15.26 to $15.26 Hourly
Minimum Qualification
Must have good communication skills, including in writing; excellent organizational skills and have experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. During museum operating hours, it is primarily a forward facing position and candidate must be comfortable interacting with the public appropriately and representing NYS Parks. The position requires that the individual must have a professional and cooperative manner with both site visitors and staff at all times. Must possess a valid NYS driver's license as a term and condition of employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
